About Us
Greetings from our Pastor
Greetings In the Name of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be unto
to you. I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ who has been extremely good to our church family.
I reflect upon this past year and the many years we have been in existence, I can only with great
joy give thanks unto the Lord for the abundance of blessing He has bestowed upon us as a church family.
Through the works of God, we have increased in new ministries, and have developed a closer walk with each
other. There are many who will not understand the closeness of our church fellowship. Some will say we
are a cult, some say we are antisocial, others say we are self-righteous; however, I believe God will
say, "Well done my good and faithful servants. Enter into the joy of the Lord."
The church we are today is not by accident but by the vision, hard work, and personal sacrifices of those who have come before us.
It was their willingness to make personal sacrifices that opened the doors of opportunity for us today. We must take that same attitude
and set a course for this church that will last throughout this millennium. Although we have grown numerically and spiritually this past
year, we must forever strive to reach higher grounds. The scripture teach, "To whom much is given, much is required." God requires us
to always move forward. Let me take this opportunity to share with you a small portion of the vision for this church during this new century.
First, a family life center with a gymnasium, offices, and an education department. We should have a full time counseling center with
trained counselors and certified social workers. A life preparation center which trains in computer technology, job readiness,
budgeting skills, planned parenting and a senior citizen center and retirement home. As we advance toward those goals, by the end of
this year we hope to have a day care center, a daily after school nurturing and enrichment program and tutorial program with a part
time cook and employed tutors. We are mandated by God to meet the needs of the whole man and to that; we are committed to doing.
However, we must not lose focus that we are about sharing and spreading the word of God. I personally invite you to come
and worship with us each Sunday morning. Truly, the distance is worth the difference.
Your Brother in Christ,
Rev. Donnell L. Hegler
